We can&#8217;t wait to dig into more when the full game is out soon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1182310\/The_Excavation_of_Hobs_Barrow\/\">Check this one out on Steam<\/a> and wishlist as we near the release date later this month.<\/p>\n<h3>Wanted: Dead<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9w4r9aOqlhA\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Next for the day, we got to try out <em>Wanted: Dead<\/em>, a new gory, high-action hack &amp; slash title from the makers of <em>Ninja Gaiden<\/em>, and this is due out early next year on Valentine\u2019s Day. This plays like a retro-themed version of<em> Devil May Cry, Vanquish<\/em> and <em>Ninja Gaiden<\/em> smashed together, and is packed with minigames, challenges, and customizations, with fluid combat and executions. We can\u2019t wait to dig into this early next year. <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1981610\/Wanted_Dead\/\">Check it out on Steam<\/a> now.<\/p>\n<h3>Signalis<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SFNRihUyo5o\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest highlights for today\u2019s show was getting hands-on time with <em>Signalis<\/em>, a new sci-fi survival horror title that plays like a top-down version of early <em>Resident Evil<\/em> and <em>Silent Hill<\/em> games with aesthetics and story inspired by <em>Alien<\/em> and other sci-fi horror.<\/p>\n<p>This plays really well and has a foreboding atmosphere, satisfying puzzles, and all the early survival horror hallmarks, and it\u2019s launching pretty soon on all modern platforms including on Game Pass on October 27th. Do yourself a favor and<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1262350\/SIGNALIS\/\"> check this out<\/a> if you haven\u2019t yet.<\/p>\n<h3>Hyde&#8217;s Haunt and Seek<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.relyonhorror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hauntseek.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-103985\" src=\"https:\/\/www.relyonhorror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hauntseek.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"616\" height=\"353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.relyonhorror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hauntseek.jpg 616w, https:\/\/www.relyonhorror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hauntseek-300x172.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 616px) 100vw, 616px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next for the day, we got hands-on with <em>Hyde&#8217;s Haunt and Seek<\/em>, a unique and fun asymmetrical multiplayer game with a somewhat light-hearted tone (think <em>Luigi&#8217;s Mansion<\/em>,) where one person plays as a &#8220;Seeker&#8221; in first-person, trying to find the items that the ghosts (the other players) hid throughout the level.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s like a haunted house game where your friends are the ghosts and can torment or scare you in a variety of ways. The full game plans to have 6 player support, VR and mobile support, as well as bots to play offline.<\/p>\n<p>We got to try out playing as both sides, and even in a very early state, both sides felt great to play, so this is showing some promise and definitely sets itself apart from most of the current asymmetrical games flooding the market.<\/p>\n<p>Keep an eye on this one and <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1641040\/Hydes_Haunt__Seek\/\">wishlist on Steam<\/a> to keep up to date on the development.<\/p>\n<h3>SCP: Secret Files<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I-eK2GXJlho\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As our last game for the show this year, we got hands-on time with a game that\u2019s due out in less than two weeks,<em> SCP: Secret Files<\/em>, a new game based on the SCP collective fiction, and which features several different chapters, each with different styles of gameplay.<\/p>\n<p>The chapter we got to try was a first-person narrative-driven experience that takes you through an abandoned power station, as your reality starts to collapse and various SCP files come to life as you struggle to remember what went wrong with your mission.<\/p>\n<p>This is looking to be a pretty diverse package of content, and if you\u2019re into the SCP lore, this will be a treat for you, with tons of references to specific files and lore throughout, with many SCP fans calling it the best video game based on SCP to date. <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1718130\/SCP_Secret_Files\/\">Check this out on Steam<\/a> as we roll into the final release in just a few days.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>It&#8217;s a bittersweet feeling as we close out our time at PAX West 2022, but we send a big thank you to all the publishers, developers, and organizers for making this event possible and for giving us a taste of what the next 6-12 months of titles might look like from our favorite genres and styles.
