An interesting game debuted on Steam recently from MWM Interactive called Chained: A Victorian Nightmare<\/a>.<\/em> In the game, you can relive Charles Dickens’ classic tale of A Christmas Carol<\/em>, this time in virtual reality<\/a>. That’s not all, however. The creators have also decided to modernize and improve the story, transforming it into much more of a nightmarish experience than it was in its original form.<\/p>\n According to the developers:<\/p>\n This is a haunting VR adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale, A Christmas Carol, that puts you at the center of the story. It’s time to disbelieve your senses. Sit back and prepare to confront your past, present and future, in this bone-chilling journey of self-discovery. Heed the spirts warnings as your future is yet unwritten.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The creators call the game a terrifying interactive experience. In it, the player takes on the role of an active observer whose task is to survive the horrific spiritual spectacle, as they are forced to confront their past, present and future.<\/p>\n Chained: A Victorian Nightmare<\/em><\/a> was developed by Justin Denton (who also directed the game), creator of Legion’s immersive experience for the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con, and produced by Ethan Stearns of MWM Interactive. To play Chained: A Victorian Nightmare <\/em><\/a>you must equip the Valve<\/a> Index, HTC Vive or Oculus<\/a> Rift goggles.
